An information center offering a fun and educational way to find out how the nuclear power plant works.

For fans of industrial tours, the Saint Laurent des Eaux nuclear power plant comprises 2 production units in operation since 1981, each with a capacity of 900 MW, and 2 reactors shut down in the early 90s and currently being decommissioned. An information center covering almost 300^m2 explains not only how the plant operates, but also other means of electricity production, waste management, environmental controls, radioactivity, decommissioning, energy management..

Opening time and information on POWER STATION

The public information center at the Saint-Laurent-des-Eaux power station is open all year round, by appointment only. Open Tuesday to Friday, 3pm to 4:30pm; 10:30am to 12pm and 3pm to 4:30pm. 4 public visits will take place in2024 : April 5, May 3 and June 7, October 4, November 8 and December 6. Free admission. Reservations preferred for groups. Guided tour.

Both fun and original visit. It is true that there are not only the castles to visit.

A visit that leaves ordinary in our course the Loire Castles, one has that the nuclear power is an energy of the future and unmissable.
