The composite aspect of the church comes from its different stages of construction. It has a part dating from the 12th century. The nave should date from the 14th century and the chapels were added in the 16th century as well as the choir. At the back of the choir there is an altarpiece of 1682 in stone and marble decorated with statues. In the central part of the church there is a superb 17th century stone pietà from the Abbey of Saint Sulpice in Bourges.
