OUR WHITE LADY
Church with carved friezes on the exterior facades and a stained glass window relating the main miracles of Saint Eusice.
Built at the beginning of the 12th century on the remains of an older building dating from the 6th century, this abbey church, where Romanesque and Gothic coexist, has suffered many vicissitudes over the centuries. It had to suffer from the Norman and English invasions and was strongly damaged during the wars of religion. The friezes on the facades of the monument are of great interest. On the north side, a stained glass window relates the miracles of Saint Eusice, founder of the first religious establishment. The crypt houses a 6th century sarcophagus, perhaps that of the saint.
