Restored castle with French garden, educational farm and park hosting the Celestial Lights Festival in winter.
The Château de Selles-sur-Cher is a marvel to behold, such is its splendor. We can't praise this pink and grey brick edifice enough, with its symmetrical square towers and superb formal garden. After 10 years of dormancy, the property was bought back in 2012 and is now beautifully restored and open to visitors. Originally, Château de Selles was a medieval fortress that passed through many hands. Over time, its appearance changed according to the fashions and tastes of its occupants. It reached its present form in 1880. The tour can be done in 3D, thanks to tablets that immerse you in the history of this magnificent residence. When the weather's fine, don't miss the dinosaur park for an extraordinary adventure amidst 50 of these mythical animals, reproduced at 2/3 of their actual size. A breathtaking spectacle, with some of them animated for even greater verisimilitude. A truly lost world on the edge of the Touraine region for the whole family to discover. In the boutique, you'll find a wide range of local products, especially the wine produced by the château on its Châtillon-sur-Cher estate. In winter, the château grounds are illuminated at nightfall. The château offers gîtes for rent, a room for weddings or events, and even part of the park with its three courtyards, including the medieval one where a mini vineyard is planted.

A bientôt
