CANVAS MILL
Windmill rebuilt to its original state thanks to the perseverance of volunteers from the Friends of the Mill.
The first mill dates back to the 14th century. A second operated from 1790 to 1935, before being dismantled in 1956. In 1978, an old mill found in the Eure-et-Loir region was reassembled on the same site, but it didn't survive the storm of 2003. It was rebuilt identically a year later, thanks to the perseverance of volunteers from the Amis du Moulin, who were able to get the wings of this Beauceron chandelier-type windmill back in motion. A must-see for the mechanisms that allow the wind to turn the millstones that crushed the wheat.
