TALCY CASTLE
Castle with typical architecture of the late Middle Ages preserved, which hosted famous women, including Catherine de Medici.
Set in the heart of a vast agricultural estate, this pretty chateau, characterized by its medieval spirit, has preserved its interior decor, vegetable garden and dovecote. But in addition to its remarkable architecture, it is above all the women who have left their mark on this place. The first, Cassandre Salviati, inspired 182 sonnets by Pierre de Ronsard, including the most famous: Mignonne, allons voir si la rose... Alfred de Musset was one of her descendants. His niece Diane became the muse of the poet Agrippa d'Aubigné. The orchard grows old varieties of apples and pears.
