The site of the Saint-André hillside shelters several troglodytic dwellings. The old galleries where stonecutters and horses used to extract the stones used for religious buildings have been reused as wine and mushroom cellars. This site is linked to the legend of the "trou du serpent du Loir", a demonic being that came out of the hole in the hillside and terrorized the population until it was put out of action. The hole is still there, so beware...
