The Théâtre grandeur nature was founded in 1997. In 2001, it opened this place of creation and diffusion, a "verbal gallery" which develops several dynamics: creation of shows, hosting of playwrights and evenings of reading of works, hosting of visual artists, performers, musicians, dancers or screening of experimental cinema and hosting of directors. And since 2005, the theatre has set up an original programme of artistic residencies.
