LE CODERC
An emblematic bar-tobac on Place Coderc, with a large terrace that's packed on market mornings (it's in the sun!)
The bar is packed on Saturday mornings at market time, especially the sunny terrace next to the market hall, where everyone lounges around reading the local press and catching up on old times. It was here that a certain Curé Chabot opened a bistro in 1908. He was known as the "white wolf" for his Monbazillac wine, his slightly acid remarks about the church and his collection of postcards. His successors have always preserved this popular bistro spirit: here, p'tit blanc and p'tit noir are still served in the purest tradition.
