The event is held in even years. Numerous works on French gastronomy (novels, comics, poetry, essays, beautiful books or practical books, in monographs or collective works) are presented by booksellers and many authors are present for book signings. Activities such as gourmet dictation, duels between chefs, tastings, express demonstrations, etc., as well as conferences, shows and exhibitions take place in and around the Theatre. The Saturday morning market is very popular. The show, which was created in 1988, was a good step ahead, because the chefs were not yet the stars they had become. Today, it is taking a more rooted turn in the awareness of eating well, short production circuits, sustainable development and alternative modes of consumption.
