Valcourt tennis players are perfectly aware of this observatory because its building and its dome are located right next to the tennis courts of the commune! The Astronomy Society of Haute-Marne, which manages this infrastructure, can at least pride itself on doing the utmost to promote astronomy through its commonly organized public evenings, conferences and planetarium sessions.
