BAUME-LES-DAMES ABBEY
Go there and contact
The abbey church of Baume-les-Dames was built by Nicolas Nicole (Bisontin architect, including the Besançon prefecture and the church of La Madeleine) in the th century on the ruins of an ancient medieval church. Renovated by the municipality in 2001, it regained its splendour lost by centuries of looting and bankruptcy. Today fouled and rehabilitated in cultural space, it welcomes exhibitions and shows for all audiences. Anecdotes and legends abound in this historic place, so enjoy the visit of the historic heart with the guides of the tourist office in summer. Otherwise, the heritage days allow to visit this church.
