Church having preserved its dome of the XIIIth century, paintings, a beautiful pulpit of Louis XVI style
The church of Saint-Pierre-d'Abzac was built in the 13th century and was extensively altered in the 19th century. Its bell tower was destroyed during the Revolution and rebuilt in 1857. It is remarkable for many aspects: it has retained its 13th century dome, paintings, a beautiful Louis XVI style pulpit which comes from the church of Saint-Jean de Libourne and a large wooden Christ that belonged to the abbey of Faise. All of this furniture, the Way of the Cross which dates from 1920, as well as the church itself were registered as Historic Monuments in 2011.
