LOUIS PASTEUR MUSEUM
Museum preserving intact the laboratory, the fittings, wallpapers, furniture and everyday objects chosen by the scientist.
Louis Pasteur, a world-renowned scientist, chemist and physicist, and pioneer of microbiology, remained very attached to his laboratory house in Arbois. He called it "Château de la Cuisance". He conducted various experiments on fermentations in his vineyard of Rosières. Before being his home, the house was his father's tannery. The place has kept intact the laboratory, the fittings, wallpapers, furniture and everyday objects chosen by the scientist. The whole was selected last year by the "Loto du patrimoine" animated by Stéphane Bern.
