A former bridge, only the back of an arch, allowed communication between the village and Saint-just priory on the other Shore of the River River River. In the th century, a large part of the priory was razed to allow for the expansion of the Rue de l'Hôtel-de-Ville. This bridge is then built to open the city to the south.
