ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CATHEDRAL
Cathedral classified as a historical monument and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which can be visited by individuals or groups in Bazas.
Classified as a historic monument in 1840 and listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site in 1998 as part of France's Pilgrimage Route to Santiago de Compostela, this imposing 83-metre-long edifice boasts three finely sculpted portals. The bell tower is formed from the oldest stones in the church, dating back to the5th century. Inside, the size of the nave is impressive. The choir features five apses and paintings adorning the chapels. Splendid.
