CHURCH OF SAINTE-CYR-ET-SAINTE-JULITTE
On Charles de Gaulle Square, the church, the city hall, the post and the fountain form a pleasant set that hosts pleasant summer animations. This church, at the clocher clocher, contains a treasure of Baroque art: a 1757 th century altarpiece, purchased in at the Ursulines Convent of Poligny. Beware, do not misunderstand! In the center it is not the Virgin, but Sainte Julitte (or Juliet), mother of Cyr that it holds in its arms. In the early th century, Juliet refused to Offer Pagan idols. At his trial, his son Cyr, aged 5, proclaimed: " I too am a Christian. " Legend tells him that the judge smashed her head and caused the poor mother to burn. The other interesting element of the church is the th-century organ of the organ, remarkable of finesse and elegance, work of the Marin Facteur factor.
