This site is constantly evolving with the rhythm of summer workcamps carried out by young volunteers from different countries.
Built around 1100-1150, the castle of Chevreaux, sentinel of the Revermont, defended the border between Franche-Comté and the kingdom of France. Since the 1990's, an association has been bringing the site back to life: towers and ramparts, vaulted cellar, lord's dwelling... Chevreaux castle is also the incredible epic of the association, still in progress, to rebuild the site. The castle was rebuilt thanks to the help of volunteers and various archaeological and international workcamps as well as talented craftsmen: stonecutters, ironworkers, blacksmiths. You can discover the stages of reconstruction of the site. From the esplanade of the castle, an incredible panoramic view on the plain of Bresse Burgundy is offered to you!
