CHATEAU ROBIN
Mentioned in 1874 in the Guide Féret (he was then called the "Cru Robin"), Robin Castle was recaptured in 2003 by Jean and Laurence Caillé. A bolt of lightning for the site and the land (eight plots of vines on a dozen hectares, clay soil-limestone), that the couple decides to glorify by winemaking and rearing techniques: their aim is to make Robin Castle a wine worthy of the most prestigious right bank appellations. The vine is run manually, yields are controlled, to give powerful, concentrated, but elegant wines ready to drink from their youth.
