In the picturesque Tanneurs district, this museum is located in the house where Louis Pasteur took his first steps. It offers a vision of his scientific work which revolutionized medical, surgical, food and industrial practices still applied today. The first museum dedicated to Pasteur in France, the house where he was born offers display cases, models... It also evokes family and personal memories, his discoveries and his disciples. Not forgetting the tannery where his father Jean-Joseph Pasteur worked as a tanner from 1816 to 1825.

Open all year round by reservation for groups. Low season: open daily and on public holidays from 2pm to 6pm. High season: open daily and on public holidays from 9:30am to 12:30pm and from 2pm to 6pm. Low season: February to April, October and November. High season: May to September. Free admission for children under 10. Adults: €6. Children (aged 10 to 18): €4.50. Students: €5.50 Family package: 2 adults + 2 children aged 10-18: €18. Children's welcome. Animations. Guided or self-guided tour.
