Museum featuring prehistoric, ancient and Merovingian works, along with Burgundian and Comtois art from the Middle Ages.
Founded in 1821, the museum was housed for many years in the former Jesuit Chapel. In 1980, it moved to an old building, the Pavillon des officiers, an 18th-century edifice renovated and refurbished by architect Louis Miquel. The museum welcomes the public and schoolchildren for free workshops and guided tours. Every month, it organizes a "Museum Thursday" featuring an artist, art historian, actor or musician.
