DRAMELAY TOWER
The ruins of this tower tower are still proudly in the middle of the green, recalling the past splendour of the place. The castle of Dramelay was built in the th and destroyed in the th century. Here was born Bernard de Dramelay, a great master of the Order of the Temple. After taking part in the Second Crusade, he died in 1153 away from his comtoises lands at Ascalon's headquarters by seeking to protect King Baudoin III from Jerusalem from an ambush. See in the vicinity: a beautiful chapel, a well, the remains of a deserted hamlet after the Second World War. A walk that will delight lovers of old stones and legends.
