The unspoilt village of Frontenay reveals itself in layers at the foot of the majestic castle that overlooks it in its wooded setting. This is where Estelle and Laurent Staniaszek opened their organic biscuit factory 4 years ago. Craftsmanship is not an empty word here, because when the couple is not in the kitchen, they pamper their garden and orchard, knowing that fruits and vegetables will give them back their quintessence. Sweet and savoury, the specialities rival each other in ingenuity. In the pastry shop you will find "simple" raisin bread with mini-cookies, goat's cheese and pink berry waffles, bear's garlic waffles and even a "crack hazelnut" cake. You will undoubtedly also succumb to chocolate macaroons/hazelnut flakes and gingerbread, thyme, poppy seed and wafers. The sale is done on the spot, but also in several delicatessens of the department.
