JARDIN ROBERT GALLET
Robert Gallet and his wife only live in and for natural vegetables "as in the days when we didn't talk about organic yet". Robert took over the large garden from his father who had always cultivated it with the same philosophy. The 60-year-old communicates his enthusiasm to his production, which today extends over 3 hectares. The land is generous in this village of Finage (Dole plain). The alluvial soil is above all predisposed to edible bulbs such as onions (yellow, white, red), round or long shallots, garlic (white and purple). Our gardener also obtains in season and according to their whims: cabbages, leeks, potatoes (Ratte, Agathe, Charlotte), but also tomatoes (Saint-Pierre, Coeur de bœuf). A busy schedule means that the Gallets only go to the regional market of Pontarlier near the Swiss border where the clientele has been loyal for a long time. But a little detour if you stroll along the banks of the Doubs will fill your basket and your taste buds.
