TABLETTERIE SUR CORNE
If there's only one left, it's him. Michel Muyard is the last craftsman of the horn of the department. The third heir to a family know-how that dates back to 1938. One cannot imagine the number of objects that this natural material can leave, especially when, like the Jura man, the artistic temperament interferes. His studio gives the feeling of a museum, but the exhibition/sales space presents itself as a real Ali Baba's cave. Objects turned, engraved, sculpted, polished... you will be captivated by bracelets, necklaces, sheaths, dominoes, medallions... and what about these musical instruments (harp, violin for example) or even these mini tennis rackets? Admission is free, the tour is guided for about twenty minutes. No wonder that our man received the departmental prize for fine crafts, that he is listed in the register of companies of the "Living Heritage", on the road to "Know-how". However, it would be desirable for vocations to emerge to perpetuate this atypical art.
