Every year, Blaye hosts the Marathon des Vins de Blaye, a popular sporting event that attracts joggers and runners alike. The tenth edition of this event also features a 10 km race for those who do not wish to take part in the full marathon. The course will take in part of the Marathon route and finish at the Citadelle Vauban de Blaye, where participants will be welcomed on the red carpet. The race starts at 9:30 a.m. at the Citadelle.
