LA MAISON DES ÉTANGS

There are public buildings that have been successfully reconverted even in the countryside. The former Deux Fays/Sergenaux railway station is a perfect illustration of this by the will of the Bresse-Haute Seille community of municipalities. Surrounded by the forests and ponds of Jura Bresse, it now operates as a group gîte. Called "La Maison des étangs" (The House of Ponds), its 210 m² can accommodate 36 people in 12 dormitories. The walls include a large dining room, a breakfast room, an equipped kitchen and a bedroom/bathroom for people with reduced mobility. This "green" place is also ideal for family or friends reunions and is the starting point of several hiking trails. It has the double approval "Youth and Sports" as well as the National Education.
