LE GRAND TÉTRAS
This large mountain gîte welcomes both families and groups for one night or more.run by Sandrine and Stéphane Tinguely, the couple has managed to create a relaxed family atmosphere. It also attracts sports enthusiasts who appreciate the vicinity of Lac des Rousses and the cross-country ski trails. The gîte has a storage room for mountain bikes and skis. The shuttle for the downhill ski slopes passes right in front of the entrance! A simple and convivial place which also conceals a ski museum and a museum of Rousselandes traditions. Opened in 1983, Roger Tinguely has assembled an incredible collection of skis (dating from 1850 to the present day), bobs (from 1895 to 1968), sledges and not forgetting snowboards, outfits and boots. You will also learn about the life of the mountain people through their traditions and local crafts. This museum is open to guests of the gîte on a self-guided or guided tour on Thursdays from 5 pm to 7 pm; but also to groups (by reservation) all year round. A must see.
