Forest located in Les Rousses where spruce trees dominate, especially those used for violin making.
Whether on foot, mountain bike or skis in winter, the Risoux Plateau, at an altitude of 1,300 meters, is a must-see. The plateau is crowned by a superb forest dominated by spruce trees, often used to make musical instruments. Above the town of Les Rousses, you can admire the ancient Risoux fort. Along the slopes, you'll come across a forest chalet known as the "Chalet des Ministres". An amusing anecdote: the people of the Jura used to give the nickname "mon ministre" to... their mule.
