A network of some fifty sites managed by the departmental council in Lons-le-Saunier.
Juramusées, or discover the Jura in a different way. Some 50 sites and museums are part of this network managed by the Conseil départemental. The network covers four themes: trades and people, fine arts, historical heritage, dinosaurs and landscapes. The Juramusées Pass entitles holders to a reduced rate on their second visit to one of these establishments. It can be obtained from the tourist offices or from the museums themselves. A must-have for Jura residents and tourists alike.

Owner's Message
Juramusées is a network of 54 museums and sites in the Jura. It is run by the Departmental Conservation of Natural History, Archaeology and Ethnology, a department of the Jura Departmental Council whose mission is to safeguard, study and promote the Jura heritage.
Some museums, belonging to local authorities, are labelled "Musée de France"; others are managed by voluntary associations. This network also includes natural sites, such as the Baumes-les-Messieurs caves.
In addition to archaeological sites of international renown (lake habitats of Chalain and Clairvaux), this network also includes several castles that very active associations bring to life, most often with the help of workcamps by young international volunteers during the summer.
