Founded in 1991, the Instituto Cervantes is present all over the world, including Bordeaux, where it offers language courses for young and old, and training courses for Spanish teachers. Its Antonio Buero Vallejo library, which inherited the collection of the Casa de Goya Spanish cultural center, boasts a large reading room on the second floor of the 18th-century building in which the great Spanish painter Francisco de Goya lived and died.
