Founded in the th century, Pellegrin Hospital Group is the largest of Bordeaux's sites. Among the largest hospital structures in France, it combines a combination of tradition and modernity with the image, among others, of the Tripod (1978) and the children's hospital (1992). It is a centre for the care of very extensive skills and equipment, allowing for the care and treatment of the most diverse pathologies. Key activities include: surgery, maternity, paediatrics, emergencies (children and adults), the SAMU-SMU… It also has a centre dedicated to surgical specialities, the centre "François-Xavier Michelet". This centre includes surgical specialities: throat, @ surgery, ophthalmology, plastic surgery and cosmetic, burned and hand surgery.
