The Girofard is a place open to all - "LGBTI+ and allies" - where different LGBTI associations can meet to work together, do prevention, prepare the pride march, etc. It is defined as a place of welcome, conviviality, listening and fight against discrimination. In short, it is the place of visibility for LGBTI people that was missing in Bordeaux! All people who feel difficulties of acceptance or dialogue in front of different sexual orientations or identities (subject himself, parents, friends, teachers...) are welcome. They will be able to find information, but also to exchange, confront points of view and experiences or even receive a listening ear if they are going through difficulties. Every month, the association offers many free events: movie nights, cultural outings, etc.. The legal service is provided by e-mail. The Girofard is a member of the Federation of LGBTI+ Centres of France since January 2008.
