HERMITAGE CAVE
Go there and contact
Grotte de l'Ermitage (Hermitage cave) is a series of chambers offering access to the Serre massif, the only granite massif in the Jura.
The walk to the cave gives you the opportunity to climb the Serre massif, the only sandstone-covered granite massif in the Jura. This is the rock from which the cave was dug. It is divided into two levels: three rooms below and four above. But was it only nature that shaped it this way? In any case, it was probably occupied as early as prehistoric times, then by hermits, and no doubt by charcoal burners. One thing's for sure, though: the site lends itself to reverie and contemplation.
