SOURCE OF AIN
A 45-minute walk to discover the Ain, a storybook village, changing its appearance according to the season and the weather.
It is near Nozeroy that the Ain river has its source, in the village of Conte. You can get there by a path that crosses the forest. The appearance of the place changes according to the season and the weather: in dry periods, the resurgence becomes accessible to cavers, whereas in wet periods, 60m3 of water emerge! The Ain is joined by its tributary the Serpentine. A 45 minutes walk which can be continued with the losses of the Ain. Near Lyon, the Ain flows into the Rhône, after passing through Champagnole and the Vouglans dam, among other places.
