EGLISE NOTRE-DAME DE MOUTHIER-LE-VIEILLARD
Church built between the 9th and 10th centuries on the site of a chapel and destroyed many times over the centuries
Built between the 9th and 11th centuries on the site of a chapel, it was around this church that the first town of Poligny was built, before it was moved to the foot of the Grimont hill. Situated outside the town from the 13th century onwards, the church has undergone numerous destructions over the centuries. However, some elements have survived, such as the 12th-century bell tower, the slate roof and the sculptures and paintings listed as Monuments Historiques.
