La Maison du Comté is a museum that welcomes you to a pleasant setting in Poligny, in the heart of the Jura. You'll immediately be charmed by the remarkable architecture of this building, a finalist for the 10th national wood construction prize in 2021. This contemporary-style house revisits the traditional farmhouses of the Haut-Doubs and Haut-Jura regions. Here, you're invited to take an immersive journey into the land of Comté cheese. You'll discover the skills and techniques involved in making Comté cheese, from milk production to maturing. For a fun-filled adventure, this interpretation center features animated models, films and games to delight the little ones. What's more, children will be accompanied by Comtesse, the house's friendly mascot. Your visit to the Maison du Comté will end with a tasting session, a convivial, gourmet experience.
