A true medieval castle with its large square dungeon surrounded by ditches dug in the rock and a large enclosure to the connected hosts. The drawbridge porterie is preceded by a remarkable barbacane. Dating from the beginning of the 200 th century, Présilly castle was redesigned years later by Nicolas Rolin, Chancellor of the Duke of Burgundy and founder of the famous hospices of Beaune. Like most of the franc castles, it was dismantled after France's annexation of Franche-Comté. Fortunately, a priest who was loving the site drew the castle of oblivion in 1949 and succeeded in having it classified as Historic monument in 1955. Since then, it has belonged to the Conseil départemental du Jura, which has entrusted it to an association: Les Balladins du Château. Specialized companies lead the work and the summer, young volunteers from around the world emerge, maintain and restore the most accessible parts. The "Balladins" also manages to animate the site by organising shows, medieval markets, visits, especially during the Days of Heritage. Three events not to be missed in 2016:
