Massive and imposing with its 48-metre bell tower, the present church of Saint Amour is the fruit of numerous changes. The oldest part is the choir dating back to the th century. The steeple is in the th century. Damaged in 1637, during the conquest of Franche-Comté by the kings of France, she was a collegial church until the Revolution. The only preserved primitive chapel, dedicated to the Holy Virgin, was restored in 1847, with four stained glass windows. The stained glass windows (1864) are the works of the Didron manufacture in Paris. The interior attests to the importance of marble in the region in the th century: the white marble autel installed in 1867 is the latest book by sculptor Pierre-Marie Prost, born in Saint Amour. The chair was realized in 1848 by a local master lauermann, Fontaine Aîné. The organ was built voluntarily by the brothers Victor and Hippolyte Corbet between 1846 and 1860. The church also houses the relics of Saint Amator.
