The Chicas Candela wine and tapas bar (girls in French) opened in August 2016 with the desire to move Saint-Claude to Latin rhythms! Jany Barone (Nicaraguan) marries Eric Barone (local sports figure, mountain biking specialist) joined Liliane (Lian) Goncalvès, a Bolivian friend to manage together this warm and colourful institution. They offer a selection of homemade tapas (patatas bravas, ceviche, fried chicken, enpanadas, etc) and pinchos, a highly prized speciality in the Spanish Basque country, accompanied by south American, Mexican, Chilean wine, as well as Spanish and Italian wines. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, you can enjoy lunch and dinner while enjoying the speciality of the house: . Jany and Lian also organise themed evenings to make music aware of the specific culture of their respective countries. Guaranteed conviviality and change of scenery!
