CHÂTEAU HANTEILLAN
It's quite rare in the wine-growing industry to come across women not to pay tribute to Château Hanteillan. Indeed, from 1809 onwards, it was a woman, Antoinette Rose de Lapeyrière, who managed the castle and built the mansion, the cellar and the vats. Since 1984, Catherine Blasco, who succeeded her father, and her team have done a lot of work on the fruit and structure to satisfy the palates in particular. Although the vineyard is young, 25 years on average, the estate was already cultivated by the monks of the Vertheuil abbey in the Middle Ages. It is located on the edge of the Saint-Estèphe appellation. Expressive wines, long in the mouth, that are in tune with the time.
