BOUCLE PÉDESTRE DE LA SAUVE-MAJEURE
Starting from the village of La Sauve, an 8 km path allows you to discover the Abbey of La Sauve-Majeur. Listed as a World Heritage Site, this 11th-century Romanesque building will impress you with its splendour. A stage on the Way of Saint James, it attracts many hikers and pilgrims. You will be able to admire the building as well as the village through this loop (count one to two hours of walk), which alternates fields and undergrowth. The route is hilly but easy. Once at the top of the hill, take the opportunity to visit the interior of the abbey.
