CHÂTEAU LANESSAN - HORSE MUSEUM
Chateau offering a visit of the cellars or the horse museum, a winemaker or a visit of the cellars and blending with pure grape varieties
The Lanessan vineyard has belonged to the Bouteiller family since the 18thcentury . Eight generations have succeeded one another. Both a wine château and a museum, Lanessan was built in 1878 and is surrounded by an English-style park, a Dutch greenhouse and a flower garden. The stables were built in the shape of a horseshoe, and the blue marble troughs are remarkable. The Horse Museum boasts an extraordinary family collection, including horse-drawn carriages that belonged to the great-great-grandparents, a fine saddlery and carriage tools. To enjoy this estate, there are several à la carte tours: a visit to the cellars or the Horse Museum, a visit to the cellars and the museum, a visit to the cellars and tasting of the same wine over 4 vintages, a simple tasting of 5 wines and, depending on the weather, a visit to the garden. On request, we can also organize a winemaker tour: visit the cellars and then blend your own wines from pure grape varieties.
