The Observatoire de Bordeaux, a captivating scientific and artistic history located in Floirac.
The Bordeaux Observatory was founded in 1878 by the French astronomer Georges Antoine Pons Rayet. Most of the work consisted of astronomical measurements and the study of radio waves. The guided tours allow you to understand the history of the site and to admire the large equatorial telescope with its impressive 7-metre long tube. They end with a presentation of Suzanne Treister's work of art.
