Château de Thau, on the Côtes de Bourg, is an ancient building dating back to the Middle Ages, which has been extensively remodeled over the centuries. Once a medieval fortress dominating the shores of the estuary, it is now owned by the Schweitzer family, who have turned it into a wine estate. Committed to French and family know-how, the owners cultivate their vines with respect for the land. The estate produces AOC Côtes-de-bourg wines: Château de Thau, Château Poyanne, Château les Violettes and Puy de Lignac.
