The Hourtin dunes and marshes nature reserve extends over 2,150 ha and features all the landscapes of the Aquitaine coast: dunes, beaches, pine and holm oak forests, lakes and marshes. You can discover the site on foot, by bike or on horseback, starting from Contaut, Piqueyrot and Hourtin plage. This natural Eden is home to 9 protected plant species, and the fauna includes many of the region's reptiles, amphibians and mammals. In the evenings, visits are sometimes accompanied by concerts and musical storytelling.
