MUSEUM LOOK BACK ON THE PAST
Museum in the old renovated and transformed station of Hourtin, an address to discover the evolution of the city, free entrance.
Located in the former railway station that has been renovated on Hourtin-port road, this small museum opened in 2007 traces the whole evolution of the Hourtin town. The history of pioneers who set out to conquer the town of Hourtin and its forest is told through many objects, documents and photographs. The whole precisely illustrates foresters, dockers, resin workers, shepherds, lumberjacks, fishermen, farmers' past. The association which makes you visit has existed for over 30 years and is only made up of volunteers. Admission is free, but do not hesitate to drop a little something on your way out, in order to help the museum continue to purchase pieces and maintain the site.
