ST. GERVAIS CHURCH
Church housing the Immaculate Conception and also having a very beautiful langon organ
Overlooking the Garonne River, the building houses theImmaculate Conception, a famous painting by the Spaniard Zurbaran. Dating from 1661, the painting has been entirely restored and can now be admired behind an air-conditioned protective glass case. The church also has a beautiful Cavaillé Coll organ from 1857, which follows the rounded lines of the rose window. The bell tower, built in 1861, is a reproduction of the south tower of Chartres cathedral. The church has been registered as a historical monument since 2006.
