Park hosting today various events in Langon on the banks of the Garonne
On the banks of the Garonne, the Orchards Park is an old racecourse that now hosts various English events. Walking path, sports trail, green theatre, children's playgrounds, conservatory orchard, picnic tables... The park is the meeting place for families. The Moorish tower of Langon, otherwise known as "the Mosque", stands in this green setting at the bottom of the park in the middle of a lawn. In a state of great concern, this monument, erected in the 19th century by a Langonnais who was fond of orientalism, is none other than the kiosk of the former racecourse. This building is one of the last examples of neo-Moorish architecture.
