CHATEAU DE TASTE
Jean-Paul Martin gave a new impetus to this 18th century noble house and family property for several generations with François Martin, cellar master and Michel Guiraud, consulting oenologist. The 15 hectares of clayey-limestone hillsides and clayey-siliceous plateaus are planted with 60% Merlot, 10% Malbec, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon at 15 % and Cabernet Franc at 15 %. Traditional vinification is carried out in vats for 18 to 21 days with fractionated pumping over and thermoregulation - 28 °C to 32 °C. The wine is matured in stainless steel vats and barrels. The wines of Château de Taste are colourful, delicately bouqueted and balanced with a structure of supple tannins. The vintage is regularly mentioned in many publications. Finally, it should be noted that Château de Taste is a signatory to the Vineyards and Cellars in Bordeaux charter, according to which winegrowers are committed to providing an optimal welcome to the public.
